Kenya’s Registrar of Companies has dissolved 72 companies and issued notices proposing the removal of another 68 from the official register. The notices, published in the Kenya Gazette on 23 October 2026, cover businesses in technology, energy, healthcare, construction, property, transport, hospitality, agriculture, education and manufacturing.
The latest action follows a separate round of notices in September, when the Registrar announced the dissolution of 176 companies and identified another 155 for possible removal. However, the notices do not establish how many of the businesses involved were actively trading or whether their removal followed a business closure.
Technology and Energy Firms Among Those Dissolved
The list of 72 dissolved companies includes several businesses with technology-related names, among them Africode IT Solutions Limited, Algohub Ltd, Amadi Tech Systems Limited and Watsup Open Access Network Limited.
Energy-related businesses also appear on the list, including Dazon Energy Technology Co. Limited, Energy Of Tomorrow Kenya Limited and Namene Solar East Africa Limited. Amanzi Water Purifiers Limited is another named company.
The notice also lists companies in other sectors, including Ayana Healthcare Limited, Ariel Junior Academy Limited, Combined Computer Training Centre Limited, Summit Textiles (E.A.) Limited, Tropical Milima Tea Limited and The Plu Media Limited.
Deputy Registrar of Companies Hiram Gachugi signed the dissolution notice under Section 897(4) of Kenya’s Companies Act. It states that the companies have been dissolved and their names struck off the register with effect from the date of publication.
The notice confirms their removal from the register but does not provide company-specific reasons for the action or details of their operating status before dissolution.
Another 68 Companies Face Proposed Removal
A separate notice names 68 companies that face removal from the register after three months unless objections are raised or reasons are provided for retaining them.
Among the companies listed are Also Mobility (Kenya) Limited, Kodally IT Hub Limited, Carbon And Soil Loop Africa Limited, SP Solar Kenya Limited and Terra Tech Builders Limited.
The notice also names Afri Gift Center Limited, Al-Ihsan Property Development and Mining Limited, Apergy Energy (Kenya) Limited, Freshcom Distributors Limited, Freshways Green Grocers Limited and Grevillea Holdings Limited.
Other businesses include Hakmah Motors Kenya Limited, Halisi Stays Limited, Ignite Autocare Centre Limited, Roma Shuttles and Events Limited, Safari Services Limited, Skylight Logistics Limited and Sp Solar Kenya Limited.
Under Section 897(3) of Kenya’s Companies Act, the Registrar has invited interested parties to explain why the 68 companies should not be struck off the register, giving them three months to respond. While the dissolution of the other 72 companies has been confirmed, the removal of these 68 remains proposed.
September Notices Bring Earlier Removals Into Focus
The October notices follow a similar announcement in September, when the Registrar dissolved 176 companies and listed another 155 for possible removal.
Those notices also covered businesses across multiple sectors. As with the latest batch, the published information did not establish whether every company was still operating or provide details of the circumstances behind each removal.
