Bluebulb has introduced Orbita, a treasury management platform designed to help African businesses manage multiple currencies, international payments and cash positions through a single dashboard.
The fintech showcased the platform at Moonshot by TechCabal 2026, held on October 28 and 29 at the National Theatre in Lagos, Nigeria. The launch targets businesses operating across borders that need better visibility over their money, payment transactions and foreign exchange exposure.
Orbita brings together multi-currency wallets, cross-border payments, transaction tracking and treasury analytics. It also provides tools for monitoring liquidity, managing foreign exchange positions and forecasting cash flow, allowing finance teams to oversee financial operations without switching between multiple banking platforms.
Tackling Fragmented Financial Operations
Businesses trading internationally often manage payments and cash balances through several banks, payment providers and financial systems. This can leave finance teams relying on spreadsheets, manual reconciliation and follow-ups to establish whether payments have cleared and how much money remains available across different currencies.
A report published by TechCabal in February 2026 cited cross-border transaction fees in Africa averaging between 7.4% and 8.3%, compared with the global benchmark of 3% for affordable remittances. It also highlighted how businesses operating across multiple African markets may need between four and ten payment platforms or integrations to support different currencies and payment corridors.
Orbita aims to address these operational challenges by consolidating treasury information and payment activity into one system. Finance teams can track transactions from initiation to settlement, monitor incoming collections and outgoing payments, and view their liquidity positions across currencies.
The platform also connects with Bluebulb's cross-border payment infrastructure, bringing payment execution and treasury oversight together.
Bluebulb Targets Finance Teams at Growing Businesses
Bluebulb is an enterprise treasury solutions company that provides infrastructure for cross-border payments, liquidity management and settlement. Its platform is designed for finance leaders, including chief financial officers, treasury managers, financial controllers and business owners handling international transactions.
At Moonshot, chief executive and co-founder Ola Daramola spoke about enterprise treasury on October 28. He also joined a panel on building lasting companies on October 29, as Bluebulb presented Orbita to founders, finance executives and other business leaders.
The product moves Bluebulb's offering beyond individual payment transactions towards managing the financial operations surrounding international trade. For businesses paying overseas suppliers, collecting revenue in different currencies or coordinating payments across markets, the central proposition is having a clearer view of where money sits, what is in transit and what payments need attention.
