Kenyan creator-commerce platform HustleSasa has raised a new early-stage funding round led by African impact investor Impacc, which has taken a stake in the company and brought additional investors into the deal. The amount raised was not disclosed. Impacc said the investment is its first as lead investor and will support HustleSasa as it develops its platform for event organisers, creators and businesses across Africa.

HustleSasa started as a digital ticketing platform but has since added tools covering event management, marketing, payments, commerce and business financing.

HustleSasa’s Creator-Commerce Platform

The company gives event organisers tools to create event pages, sell tickets and accept payments through mobile money and cards. Organisers can also manage check-ins, track sales and sell merchandise through digital storefronts.

The platform has added services such as bulk SMS, email campaigns, affiliate marketing and sales analytics. It also offers financing options, including cash advances, working-capital loans and invoice financing.

HustleSasa says its platform currently lists more than 2,500 live events and has processed over 520,000 tickets. The company operates in Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa.

Its growth has also been tied to the increasing use of digital tools by event organisers and creators. Impacc said HustleSasa processed around 500,000 tickets across more than 2,000 events in 2025.

Growth Across Africa

The company has expanded beyond Kenya by working with organisers and creators in several African markets. In 2024, HustleSasa reported more than 1,700 live events attended by over 400,000 people across four African countries, according to previous investor Best Nights VC.

That activity gives the company access to data on ticket sales, customer behaviour and event performance. HustleSasa can use this information to offer organisers additional services rather than relying only on ticketing fees.

The model also allows creators and event businesses to manage several parts of their operations from one platform, from promoting an event and selling tickets to handling payments and merchandise.

Impacc Leads New Investment

Impacc, an African impact investor, has now joined HustleSasa as a shareholder and led the latest funding round.

According to Impacc, it also brought additional investors into the deal. The investor focuses on businesses that can create jobs and generate income in African markets.

Impacc said HustleSasa's platform has supported activity across the live-events economy, citing its estimate that roughly one gig job is created for every 10 tickets sold. The investor said its calculation uses a year-long definition of a gig job.

The new investment follows earlier backing for HustleSasa from investors including Antler, Musha Ventures, Microtraction and Best Nights VC. The amounts raised in those rounds were not publicly disclosed.

Funding to Support Expansion

HustleSasa has not disclosed how much it raised in the latest round or its current valuation. The company is expected to use the new capital to deepen its presence in existing markets and continue developing products for creators and event organisers.

Moving beyond ticket sales gives HustleSasa several ways to generate revenue from the same customers. Organisers can use the platform for payments, customer communication, promotion, merchandise and access to financing.

For creators and event businesses operating across African markets, the company is building a single platform for managing those activities while giving HustleSasa more opportunities to serve customers after a ticket has been sold.
