Solar Mining Services acquires majority stake in ProBlast BS

Solar Industries, a global leader in the design, development, manufacture, and application of energetic materials, is pleased to announce that its South African subsidiary, Solar Mining Services, has acquired a majority stake in ProBlast BS . Established in South Africa in 2015, Solar Mining Services offers world-class capabilities in bulk emulsion explosives, accessories, and delivery systems. Since its inception in 2017, ProBlast BS has earned a reputation as the region’s premier provider of blasting solutions. This move signifies both ProBlast BS and Solar Mining Services’ commitment to creating more value for their clients and unlocking untapped opportunities to benefit their employees and stakeholders.

The new leadership of Solar Mining Services, under Nick Huson, has been instrumental in turning around the company’s reputation and ensuring a focus on delivering quality and reliable services. Stephen Coetzer will remain at the helm of ProBlast BS and will work closely with the executive management team at Solar Mining Services. Both companies will continue to operate independently in the foreseeable future.
