Qatar Public Prosecution to Adopt AI to Speed Up Justice Delivery

Public Prosecution in the State of Qatar has announced the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to enable a speedy justice system of converting words into text. Qatar’s adoption of artificial intelligence is in line with its National Vision 2030.

According to The Peninsula Qatar report, the public prosecution also clarified that these AI techniques will be used in the investigation sessions as well as in writing the necessary minutes and memorandums to end the legal procedures.

“This will ensure that the information available during the investigation sessions and during the issuance of decisions and writing notes are converted into written texts quickly and accurately, while limiting manual work. It will contribute to speeding up judicial process and improving the accuracy and quality of information related to the functions and work of the Public Prosecution,” The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The technique was tested by the public prosecution in some of its departments to experiment with the use of word-to-text conversation services. After a successful trial phase, the Qatar entity decided to move forward with the system on a larger scale.

Moving forward, the Qatar Public Prosecution intends to continue with the adoption of advanced technologies to enhance its work.
