Nigerian digital investment platform i-invest has won the Capital Markets Access Innovator of the Year award at the 14th BusinessDay Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards 2026, recognising its use of technology to expand access to investment products.
Powered by Parthian Financial Services, i-invest launched in 2018 as a platform focused on Treasury Bills. It has since expanded into a digital investment marketplace offering equities, fixed-income securities, mutual funds, commercial papers, fixed-term investments, government bonds and dollar-denominated investment products.
The platform allows users to access multiple investment options through a single digital service, reducing the need to navigate separate channels to explore different asset classes.
Its equities offering provides access to Nigerian stocks with a minimum entry point of ₦100. Users can also track stocks, review market information, access order-book data and monitor their portfolios. Through i-invest Academy, the platform offers educational resources to help customers understand investment products and financial markets.
“Innovation matters most when it solves real problems for people,” the company said, adding that the award reinforces its commitment to making participation in Nigeria’s capital markets more accessible and practical for everyday investors.
More than ₦200 billion in transactions
Since its launch, i-invest has processed more than ₦200 billion in transactions and served over 500,000 personal customers globally, according to the company.
The platform operates with the backing of Parthian, a capital-markets operator regulated by Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission. This combines digital investment services with the financial-market expertise of its parent company.
Its growth also reflects the role digital platforms can play in connecting retail investors to formal financial markets. Alongside investment access, i-invest provides market information and educational content intended to help customers understand available products and make informed investment decisions.
The BAFI Awards recognition adds to i-invest’s record as it continues to offer Nigerian investors access to equities and a wider range of investment products through its digital platform.
