Why? The Web3 market is flourishing, and we’ve been working on several Web3 projects, including Web3 games, during the last six months in particular. To create Web3 projects, you must first grasp blockchain technology and how it is implemented.

Why is blockchain being used? The Web3 sector is often referred to as the blockchain-based Web. With the advancement of blockchain technology, the sector has emerged as a formidable force that is reshaping everything: How we do business, share information, and engage. According to the most recent data, the worldwide blockchain industry was valued at $2.9 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 41.6% between 2022 and 2028. Web3’s rise may be ascribed to new blockchain technology initiatives as well as the growing desire for transparency, security, and privacy in online transactions.

Everything is linked. Have you ever watched the film The Butterfly Effect? Similarly, the pandemic disrupted the fintech market, prompting it to develop new financial services technology. It grew more transparent, and blockchain contributed to this by lowering costs, enhancing efficiency, and strengthening confidence in online transactions.  In fact, it’s predicted that the total transaction value in digital payments will reach $9.46 trillion this year.

This suggests that Web3 is expected to have the biggest concentration of business innovations today and in the near future. Several businesses are investing in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) this year, which are essential drivers of digital transformation. Prediction models enabled by machine learning, for example, can aid in the optimisation of numerous elements of Web3 applications such as token economics, resource allocation, and governance. Smart contracts driven by AI algorithms can decentralise complicated decision-making processes. The benefits of its application may be substantial, with businesses frequently employing it to automate complicated business processes and minimise the need for middlemen, resulting in enhanced efficiency and cost savings.

In the last six months, one of the most popular requests I’ve had from customers has been to develop games within their own ecosystems. The potential to construct decentralised game economies in which players may own and sell in-game assets using blockchain-based systems is a fundamental benefit of implementing Web3 technology in gaming. At the moment, “Web3 gaming accounts for 49% of all blockchain activity.”

More fascinating use cases for technology will emerge as time goes on. We had a significant project in the oil and gas sector around six years ago in which we used blockchain technology to build a decentralised gas market, allowing individuals and corporations to purchase and sell gas directly with one another. Looking back on this project, I realise it was only the start of the blockchain revolution.

Nonetheless, there will always be benefits and drawbacks to adopting and using new technologies. The same holds true for Web3. Understanding the advantages and disadvantages of Web3 can help us better identify how to use the technology and how to effectively deploy it.

Advantages Of Web3

According to Aleksandrs Malins  experience in deploying blockchain technology in projects, he discovered that Web3 provides the following benefits.

• The main advantage is decentralization. This could refer to the networks, finance, identity, storage and more.

• It provides us with more secure and transparent systems because of blockchain implementation. Fewer people are involved in the processes, and they can view the transactions or transfers in real time.

• It offers the possibility to create digital assets such as NFTs to use in the metaverse.

• The wide implementation of AI and ML technologies in Web3 allows for more accurate results, the ability to personalize content, easier-to-use interfaces and so on.

Challenges of Web3

The challenges I faced while developing Web3 projects included the following.

• The technology is complex, and it can be hard to find the right specialists.

• There’s a lack of regulatory clarity (e.g., for game development and tokenization).

• It takes a significant amount of energy to operate.

Despite these obstacles, Malins think that incorporating AI and ML into Web3 will open up new avenues for innovation and disruption across different industries, paving the path for a more decentralised future. As he deal with business owners and industry leaders, Malins  notice that the more they investigate the Web3 possibilities, the more they embrace the new paradigm of collaboration and openness. Personally, he feel that only by building a transparent future will we be able to construct a new, open, and prosperous society.
