Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet Inc., stated that Google will make artificial intelligence-based big language models like LaMDA available “in the coming weeks and months.”

Users will soon be able to use language models “as a companion to search,” according to Pichai, who spoke on a conference call after Google’s fourth-quarter results release on Thursday.

“We are just at the beginning of our AI journey, and the best is yet to come,” he said.

Microsoft Corp. has sparked interest by announcing intentions to incorporate artificial intelligence technologies from startup OpenAI, including the ChatGPT content generator, into its products, including the Bing search engine.

Microsoft’s efforts to include AI have fueled speculation that it may offer a significant challenge to Google’s search supremacy.
