Pan African Business Sentiment Q3 Report

The Pan African Business Sentiment Index provides a monthly and quarterly update on the business sentiment across Africa. The Q# reading moved from a quarterly average of −2.05 (on a scale of -10 to +10) in the second quarter of 2026, to a reading of −0.67 in the third quarter (Q3), or a move of 1.38 points toward the positive end of the index range. The September monthly close of −0.40 confirmed that the nine-month slide which began in mid-2025 had ended.
