The Johannesburg High Court has granted President Cyril Ramaphosa an interim injunction against former President Jacob Zuma’s private prosecution.
In his case against State prosecutor Billy Downer and journalist Karyn Maughan, Ramaphosa sought relief from Zuma’s private prosecution.
Zuma has charged Ramaphosa with failing to act against Downer and Maughan for leaking his sensitive medical information in the weapons sale issue.
Last week, a full bench heard the case.
Ramaphosa will not have to appear in court this week as an accused as a result of the ruling.
