OceanX generates 54,000 MWh annually, which can supply electricity up to 30,000 houses in China.

It includes a pair of MySE16.6(T) wind turbines with 597 ft (182 m) blade diameters and a total floating platform weight of 15,000 tonnes that can secure in depths exceeding 115 ft (35 m) of water. It is designed to capture wind power from deep waters, these systems can operate up to 100 km from the shore and at a depth of 100 meters.

OceanX’s general towing design draft is 5.5m, with the entire platform drainage weighing at 12,000 tonnes. In order to guarantee a safe journey, it has adjusted its large blades to reduce the platform’s aerial profile.

It can withstand winds up to 161 mph (260 km/h), equivalent to Category 5 hurricane or typhoon conditions. It is constructed with an ultra-high-performance concrete for longevity and a cable-stayed system to ensure structural efficiency and adaptability, and an adaptive single-port mooring system for stability and safety in harsh conditions.

Competing with global leaders like Siemens Gamesa and local competitors such as GoldWind and CSSC Haizhuang, MingYang’s turbines feature diameters ranging from 853 to 958 feet (260-292 meters).
