How can ChatGPT and Google Bard assist schools and businesses

According to experts, new AI chatbots – ChatGPT and Google Bard – have the potential to assist individuals in the customer service and education professions, but will not be replacing humans anytime soon.
After releasing in November of last year, OpenAI’s ChatGPT is no longer the sole chatbot on the market, thanks to the announcement of Google Bard last week.
Despite making a mistake during its formal demo, which caused Google’s parent firm Alphabet Inc’s stock price to fall by more than $100 billion, Bard is anticipated to battle ChatGPT in what has become a fiercely fought and sometimes contentious field.
Google is introducing Bard to prevent Microsoft’s Bing, which utilises ChatGPT, from stealing market share. According to the most recent data from Statista, Google’s search engine market share is 84.08% compared to Bing’s 8.95%.
Despite the increasing popularity of chatbots, there are certain worries about the technology, such as the possibility of inaccurate information being provided – as demonstrated in Bard’s example – or of plagiarism in literary works.
Those in the education and customer service industries, on the other hand, have expressed enthusiasm for the new technology, which has the potential to dramatically reduce the time required to complete administrative duties.
Education
According to Adam Fairall of Reddam House Atlantic Seaboard, instructors should embrace chatbots since the education industry cannot simply bar kids from using the new technology.
According to Fairall, when utilised effectively, chatbots may save lesson preparation time by 80% since lesson plans can be prepared digitally in minutes, providing teachers more time to assist students with learning hurdles and deliver better lectures.
Chatbots will also help students to engage in higher-order thinking, allowing them to think imaginatively while delivering work and addressing difficulties in the classroom. He did, however, advise instructors to be on the lookout for children who had not learned the fundamentals.
Chatbots can therefore minimise preparation and learning times for both instructors and students; but, typical take-home evaluations such as essays are not practical with chatbots since students can easily cheat, and teachers must think flexibly when grading pupils.
According to Fairall, machine learning will force students to become more practical, since they will be evaluated not on the idea but on how they can use the notion realistically to solve a problem.
Customer Service and Marketing
According to Algorithm Agency, chatbots will assist digital firms in improving content development. Using automated technologies may help digital firms generate high-quality content much faster than manual production.
The Algorithm Agency, on the other hand, stated that human writers would not be displaced since chatbots produce material in a logical and well-structured manner, saving time, but it is quite clear that the copy is AI-generated – with search engines potentially down-weighting AI content in the future.
Furthermore, if AI-generated content is used, all internet content will sound the same. The Algorithm Agency wonders if anybody would want to read online material that lacked the voice, tone, or inventiveness of a brand.
According to the Algorithm Agency, the sweet spot is where technology and automation meet human creative thought.
Because chatbots increase the efficiency of the content development process, strategists have more time to focus on other critical aspects of the business.
Because of their capacity to answer to client inquiries, chatbots may also be used to impose the customer experience.
According to the agency, digital agencies will be able to create more personalised and relevant experiences for clients, increasing customer engagement and loyalty.
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), for example, stated this week that it will adopt ChatGPT in consumer and staff services.
According to DEWA, the use of ChatGPT will increase productivity and fulfil present and future demands.
