WhatsApp, the popular messaging network, has released two new Community features.
WhatsApp stated that the modifications were designed to make big groups easier to administer for administrators and easier to browse for all users.
The first is a tool that offers Communities administrators greater control over who may join a group.
“When an admin chooses to share their group’s invite link, or make their group joinable in a community, they now have more control over who can join,” WhatsApp said.
WhatsApp now displays a list of people who wish to join the group to admins, with the ability to approve or deny their request.
The second new feature will show users the groups they share with other people.
“Whether you’re trying to remember the name of a group you know you share with someone or you want to see the groups you’re both in, you can now easily search a contact’s name to see your groups in common,” WhatsApp said.
WhatsApp stated that these two functionalities would be available internationally in the coming weeks.
