Vodacom has announced the return of its month-long Black Friday event, offering customers discounts of up to 70% on a range of products and services, from SIM-only packages and fibre options to the latest devices and wearables. This annual promotion, back by popular demand, aims to provide relief to South Africans feeling the pinch of rising costs by making connectivity more affordable.
“In recognizing the financial pressures many are facing, we’ve extended our Black Friday specials throughout the month to ease some of those burdens and show our gratitude for customer loyalty,” said Rishaad Tayob, Director of Consumer Business at Vodacom South Africa. “Our goal is to deliver exceptional value and make connectivity more accessible for everyone this Black Friday season.”
Vodacom’s “hero deals” will be refreshed each week in November, ensuring there’s always something new for customers to discover. Among the highlights, customers purchasing select home connectivity packages, like the 2TB Home Internet plan for R479 per month over 36 months at speeds up to 100Mbps, can add a 65” or 75” Samsung TV at a discounted rate. Fibre options start at just R99 per month for the first six months, allowing more households to stay connected without stretching their budgets.
For SIM-only users, Vodacom offers 400GB of data (split into 200GB anytime and 200GB night owl data) at R349 per month over a 24-month term. Another popular choice is the RED VIP plan, which includes 200GB of data (100GB anytime and 100GB night owl) and unlimited voice minutes for R1,299 per month—a savings of R12,000.
Vodacom’s NXT LVL platform, designed for customers under 25, has exclusive offers tailored for young people. A 1GB TikTok bundle plus 60 on-net Vodacom minutes is available for just R11 with a one-day validity. For music lovers, there’s the 1.5GB LVL Up Music Bundle, which includes free one-day music streaming access for only R20. The first 1,000 NXT LVL customers who purchase this bundle will receive a complimentary R50 KFC voucher, adding extra value to the festive season.
“As we mark 30 years of connecting South Africans, we’re dedicated to expanding our reach, ensuring that no one is left behind as we look to the future,” added Tayob.
Vodacom’s Black November promotion will be divided into two phases. The first phase runs from November 7 to November 28, 2024, offering regular weekly deals and significant discounts. Following this, the Black Friday Clearance Sale will kick off on November 29, wrapping up on December 4, 2024, with final clearance offers on selected items.
Customers are encouraged to stay updated by checking both in-store and online for new deals as they are unveiled. Postpaid customers can also add a 30GB recurring bundle to their new contracts for R210 per month, enhancing their connectivity options.
Vodacom also reminds customers to redeem VodaBucks on the VodaPay app, where they can shop for essentials like food and fuel, buy airtime bundles, and access an array of services and products, all in one convenient location.
This Black Friday season, Vodacom’s extensive offers are set to cater to every customer, ensuring that everyone can find the right deal to stay connected and enjoy the holiday season to the fullest.
