Vodacom South Africa has joined forces with Microsoft South Africa to offer complimentary access to digital training courses through the zero-rated Mzansi Digital Learning platform.
The Mzansi Digital Learning platform will be hosted on Vodacom’s innovative NXT LVL rewards platform and seamlessly integrated into ConnectU, Vodacom’s zero-rated platform that grants customers access to content without incurring mobile data charges.
Curated by the non-profit organization Africa Tikkun, the courses cover a spectrum of topics, from tech-specific subjects like “AI Explained” and “Basic Digital Literacy” to complementary skills such as “Soft Skills” and “Creative Economy & Freelancing.”
Onyi Nwaneri, CEO of Africa Tikkun, expressed the organization’s vision of assisting young individuals in acquiring skills essential for accessing and sustaining participation in the digital economy. The collaboration between Microsoft, Vodacom, and Africa Tikkun aims to make this access affordable, meaningful, empowering, and sustainable.
Nwaneri encourages young people to seize this opportunity, emphasizing its potential for personal advancement. The partnership seeks to bridge the digital skills gap by providing accessible and impactful training to empower the youth for success in the evolving digital landscape.
