After a global launch last in September 2024, Huawei has officially announced the launch of the HUAWEI Mate XT | ULTIMATE DESIGN in South Africa. The phone is the world’s first tri-fold smartphone, alongside the HUAWEI Mate X6 foldable. With the Mate XT’s massive 10.2-inch tablet-sized display that folds seamlessly into a pocket-friendly smartphone.
Three quality folds
For a tri-fold smartphone, it is remarkably thin with the HUAWEI Mate XT only slightly thicker than a regular phone, even with all three folds stacked together. When fully unfolded, it becomes the thinnest foldable in the world, measuring just 3.6mm. It is a result of a slew of innovations, including the ultra-thin leather coat on the back of the device giving it a classy feel and look.
The phone also features the Eonic Curves design on the camera lens module, where each lens is crafted over 22 days and put through 78 complex processes, making every lens module unique and one-of-a-kind.
The HUAWEI Mate XT has also introduced the 3K HUAWEI X-True™ Display, providing users a unique Multiview in One experience. This allows for seamless transitions between single, dual, and triple-screen modes. This flexibility lets users enjoy an all-in-one device that is a smartphone, tablet, and even somewhat like a laptop.
