The Pivotal Helix is a light Electric Vertical Take-off & Landing or eVTOL aircraft that was created by Pivotal with the aim of creating an adventure aircraft vehicle, that is small enough and light enough to provide vertical take-off capabilities. The Helix is the perfect craft for recreation and for short-hop travel and can literally land on a small piece of lawn or even a building roof.
Vertical Take-off and Landing a Game Changer
The personal aerial vehicle can take off and land on grass, asphalt, snow or even ice, as there’s no landing gear, just a keel strip.
The cockpit provides a 360-degree view and its quiet operation allow pilots to become completely immersed in their natural surroundings, without any sound interferance.
At the heart of the single-seat vehicle lies a robust fault-tolerant design, which is bolstered by triple modular redundant systems for safety and reliability. The Helix’s powerful capabilities are guided by intuitive joystick controls with an easy to use, user interface.
Complies with US FAA Regulations
The first eVTOL of its kind in production, the Helix complies with the FAA Part 103 – Ultralight Air Vehicle category in the United States, and is licensed for flight in Class G airspace, which is heights below 1200 feet or 300m. Under this regulation, no pilot license is required. The Helix is available for sale in the United States only.
The Helix was designed with Safety, simplicity and sustainability at the heart of its design and these are deeply embedded in its DNA. From product design to pilot training, data-driven flight insights, and technical support, they are clearly conscious of the need to keep the flight of these vehicles safe.
Market leader in eVTOL Vehicles
The electric vehicles provide an incredible flight experience without the environmental impact or the noise and air pollution produced by fossil fuel engines. As an industry pioneer, Pivotal is well known for its revolutionary BlackFly craft, that was the first eVTOL of its kind to enter the market.
Pivotal’s distinctive tilt-aircraft architecture and scalable platform have been under continuous improvement for over 13 years, and is today, the most mature and well tested technology in the light eVTOL category.
The efficient, compact, and simple, Pivotal vehicles are designed for a wide range of applications.
