Apple Inc. is working on creating an expensive tabletop home device that features an iPad-like screen and a robotic arm to generate more revenue.
The project marks Apple’s move towards robotics as a strategic shift, and the company’s goal is to expand its income sources and use its increasing proficiency in artificial intelligence, known as Apple Intelligence.
This device is equipped with a robotic arm connected to the spacious screen. The arm can tilt and rotate a full 360 degrees. This technology allows the screen to move swiftly, providing a dynamic user experience.
The project is led by Kevin Lynch, a veteran executive who previously led the company’s self-driving car initiative and Apple Watch software engineering.
Apple’s latest tabletop robot shows that the company’s commitment in innovation and diversity. It could create fresh chances for generating revenue in the expanding smart home devices market.
Apple Inc. is pushing as fast as it can on the developments of the tabletop device, aiming to release it as soon as 2026 or 2027. They plan to reduce the price at around $1000 (R17,905.00), but the release day is still far these plans could change.
