Liquid Intelligence Technologies, a pan African technology group, proudly announced a major metro fibre ring in Gaborone, Botswana.
This high-capacity, high-speed, and secure telecommunications network will help hundreds of businesses with more affordable and secure network connectivity. This will improve Botswana’s economic progress.
“This project is a milestone for Botswana becoming an African economic hub. Completing phase one shows our commitment to connectivity for all,” said Odirile Tamajobe, Managing Director of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Botswana.
“The initial phase’s launch will lower tariffs for local and international data services, bridging the gap for small and medium-sized businesses that were historically at a disadvantage compared to larger enterprises,” said Tamajobe.
The fibre ring which is targeting Gaborone’s high-density areas will meet the demands for fast internet as businesses digitally transform. The fibre ring also supports the government’s vision 2036 to elevate Botswana’s economy by 2036.
As of last month, many financial services clients have moved to the new network.
