Apple has increased its iCloud prices in South Africa. The cost of an iCloud subscription in South Africa has increased by 13% from R45 to R60/month for the 200GB tier.
While the 2TB tier has increased by 33%––jumping from R150 to R200 per month. Whereas the 50GB tier remains the same at R15 per month. Apple still offers their 5GB plan for free to their Apple users.
The price increase comes after last year October the Apple pushed through big price increases for its two streaming services, Apple TV+ and Apple Music.
Last week, Friday Apple’s market capitalisation breached the $ 3 trillion mark for the first time since January 2022. The investors banked on Apple’s ability to grow its revenue even as it explores new markets such as virtual reality.
Shares of Apple touched $192.74 in the morning trading- a record higher making it the world’s most valuable listed company. The company ended the day up 2.3 % making its value just above $3 trillion (R56.6 Trillion).
