After hours of plotting a whole hashtag that would trash our network service provider, we have discovered that it wasn’t a network thing – but rather, Google is also having one of those Eskom panic attacks / global outage.
Now that’s something you don’t get to see everyday! Google was hit by a major outage on Monday morning, including South Africa.
Per Downdetector, a wide range of Google services including YouTube, Gmail, Google Suite, and Google Maps started experiencing problems at around 14:00 South African time.
People took to Twitter about the outage.
YouTube tweeted that it was looking at the problem.
TechCrunch reported the outage affected multiple countries including the US, European countries, South Africa and India.
