In a move aimed at cementing its Middle East, Africa and India operations, Matrix42, a provider of digital workspace management solutions, recently named Glyn Yates as country manager, IMEA region.
According to Matrix42, the appointment of its first manager for IMEA geography comes as it ramps up its international business growth plans.
The company stated that the development is a further indication of its investment in growing its international business division under Roberto Casetta, vice president of International Sales at Matrix42.
“Glyn is the perfect appointment for us as country manager for IMEA region. He has an excellent understanding of the local market and proven track record in helping vendors grow their customer base through strong channel initiatives. His enthusiasm and previous success in the market will help ensure Matrix42 achieves a successful IMEA strategy,” said Casetta, adding that his recruitment bolsters the company’s commitment to the IMEA region and local partners.
Yates has a proven track record in helping businesses succeed in the Middle East region. After many years establishing business practices with multi-billion dollar tech companies in the UK, Yates moved to the UAE in 2011 and very quickly helped a number of tech giants develop strategic positioning specific to the needs of Middle East markets across MENA and Levant, designing and defining competitive advantage, go to market strategy and execution.
His previous role was as regional director at Axios Systems for the Middle East and Africa regions.

Matrix42 exhibited at GITEX 2019 with its partner EMT Distribution and Yates added: “An important element of my role will be building our channel presence. This will mean developing new strategies with our current partners and identifying additional regional partners who can help drive the business forward.”
