ThinPrint technology vendor Cortado and virtualisation solutions provider VMware, have extended their OEM partnership up to 2022.
More and more companies worldwide are relying on desktop virtualisation. But they often forget that printing is essential for a positive desktop experience and also a major challenge, especially in virtual, distributed environments.
For this reason, Cortado and VMware entered into an OEM partnership in 2007 for the integration of ThinPrint basic technology into VMware solutions. Now this agreement has been extended to 2022. Every company with VMware end-user computing solutions prints automatically and seamlessly with the integrated ThinPrint technology.
“The extension of our partnership through 2022 clearly shows VMware’s confidence in our technology,” said Charlotte Künzell, CIO of Cortado AG. “Our solutions, matured for 15 years, have made us the leading provider for printing in virtual environments overall.”
“From the beginning, printing has been important to our customers,” said Mason Uyeda, senior director, end user computing, VMware. “We look forward to continuing working with Cortado to provide our customers with a more seamless, positive user experience and sophisticated printing solution.”
For installations that require the seamless integration of print servers and network servers, as well as additional functions like bandwidth control, tracking and reporting, VMware customers can upgrade to the ThinPrint Engine. A free demo version can be downloaded at
