Leading South African technology service provider, Digital Solutions Group (DSG), has announced a strategic partnership with US-based cybersecurity leader Securonix, Inc. Through this partnership, DSG’s Digital Resilience division will provide system integration and support services to Securonix, offering customers enhanced cybersecurity expertise and integrated solutions. This collaboration promises a seamless implementation process and comprehensive support throughout the cybersecurity journey.
This announcement comes as cyberattacks continue to surge globally, with cybercrime expected to cost the global economy $9.5 trillion this year.
Brandon Meszaros, CEO of Digital Resilience, commented on the partnership: “This collaboration aims to combine our Security Operations Centre (SOC) expertise with Securonix’s cutting-edge Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution to address the industry’s skill shortage. As technology evolves, IT teams are overwhelmed with identifying potential threats from thousands of insignificant events. With limited resources, an effective threat mitigation strategy must include advanced AI and machine learning tools.”
In South Africa, cyberattacks have become more prominent, with several high-profile data breaches compromising the personal and private information of millions. A 2023 report found that South Africa ranks fifth in the world for the highest density of cybercrime, with 56 out of every one million internet users falling victim to cyberattacks. The CSIR previously revealed that cybercrime costs the South African economy R2.2 billion annually.
Digital Resilience aims to enhance its security portfolio by integrating Securonix’s robust Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) capabilities with its state-of-the-art SOC. This integration will help organizations streamline incident response and alleviate pressure on IT teams. Additionally, advanced analytics and continuous machine learning will empower users to analyse millions of events in real-time, enabling proactive threat mitigation and informed decision-making.
“We are excited to collaborate with Digital Resilience,” said Ajay Biyani, VP APJ, India, ME & Africa at Securonix. “This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our journey to equip organizations with cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Together, we are ready to revolutionize threat detection and response, offering clients the resilience and adaptability needed to thrive in today’s complex digital ecosystem.”
Yaron Assabi, Founder of DSG, emphasized the valuable impact of the partnership: “Together, we aim to drive customer success by protecting them against evolving threats and making their systems cyber resilient through innovative cyber solutions.”
