The fast-approaching launch of the iPad Pro 2024 is surrounded by speculation and leaks, with official-looking sketches of the tablet’s design recently surfacing.
Shared by MacRumors, the CAD (computer-aided design) drawings display the front, back, and bottom edge of the rumoured 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro 2024 models. While the source of the drawings is unclear, they are often associated with leaks from Apple device factories. Case makers commonly rely on such drawings to create cases for upcoming devices.
The sketches reveal a design that maintains similarities with current models, featuring a camera block in the top-left corner, accompanied by speakers and a USB-C port on the bottom. Dimensions for the 13-inch iPad Pro 2024 are reported as 281.58 x 215.53mm, slightly larger than the 280.6 x 214.9mm iPad Pro 12.9 (2022). The 11-inch iPad Pro 2024 is noted as 249.70 x 177.51mm, making it slightly taller but marginally narrower than its predecessor.
These dimensions align with a previous leak, increasing the likelihood of their accuracy. The leaked information also suggests a reduction in thickness, with the 13-inch model rumoured to be 5mm (down from 6.4mm) and the 11-inch model listed as 5.1mm (down from 5.9mm). While the official launch date remains uncertain, the iPad Pro 2024 is expected to be released between March and June.
