With the upcoming release of the Realme Pad 2, Realme intends to make its mark in the tablet market. The highly anticipated tablet will be unveiled on July 19, according to an official Flipkart landing page. The Realme Pad 2 is poised to deliver a visually stunning experience, with an impressive 11.6-inch display, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 2K resolution. The tablet has a sleek design with slim bezels that exudes elegance, which adds to its allure. The tablet will be available for purchase a week after its initial release.
Surprisingly, the landing page went live prematurely and has since been removed, rendering it inaccessible. However, before its removal, tech enthusiasts were able to capture some screenshots, providing a sneak peek into the features of the Realme Pad 2. The photos show a circular camera island with a subtle dual-tone design. Furthermore, the tablet has four speakers on both sides, arranged in a 2×2 configuration, ensuring an immersive audio experience.
The Realme Pad 2 will have a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The O1 Ultra Vision Engine and adaptive brightness with fine-tuned dimming will also be included. The promotional posters emphasise the tablet us peak brightness of 450 nits, implying that it may not be suitable for outdoor use, particularly in direct sunlight. Nonetheless, it appears that the Realme Pad 2 prioritises indoor usage, emphasising a large-screen experience for users.
The Realme Pad 2 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, classifying it as a mid-range tablet. While this chipset provides adequate performance for general computing, it may not be the best choice for heavy gaming. It is worth noting that because it uses an LTE-only chipset, this tablet variant only supports 4G connectivity. Furthermore, the Realme Pad 2 has a USB Type-C port but does not appear to have a 3.5 mm audio jack. The tablet will be available in two colours: green and black.
The Realme Pad 2 will first be available in India, where it will be aimed at the mid-range market. While the OnePlus Pad is a high-end tablet option, Realme aims to provide a more affordable option for users looking for a large-screen experience with immersive audio. Despite the slightly outdated Helio G99 chipset, the Realme Pad 2 is positioned to appeal to those who value average performance, a large display, and exceptional audio quality.
It is worth noting that the Realme Pad 2 will be released in India alongside the Realme C53, making July 19 an exciting day for Realme fans in the country.
