Business Tech Commits to Acknowledge African Achievements
Daisy Mulenga, Director of Imizamo Media (Business Tech Africa’s holding company) says that “We see the potential to develop a meaningful acknowledgement of the wonderful Tech innovations happening in Africa that don’t always get the recognition that they should receive”.
Co-Director, Tlangalani Manzini adds that “There is so much innovation and we want to be a platform that is a showcase for Africa’s achievements, in a way that hopefully provides exposure for these businesses and also gives them the status deserving of the work that they are doing”.
Our daily experience, as a publication, is phenomenal”, says Greg Stewart, Editor of Business Tech Africa, “We get to speak to and engage with amazing business people who are driving developments and growth in the African Tech space, and believe that they deserve to have an award that meaningfully gives them the kudos they have worked hard to receive”. “We want to expand these awards over time and will also be looking for sponsorships to provide the award recipients with further value”, he concludes.
The finalists will be announced in the next week, with the winners’ announcement expected around the 15th November 2024
