The Tesla Robovan, Robo Taxi and Humanoid robot Optimus were all revealed yesterday in a glittering event at Tesla in California.

Dubbed the Autonomous, Assistant Humanoid Friend, Optimus has been revealed at a multi-launch event in Burbank California yesterday.
“Everything we have developed for our cars; advanced motors, batteries, gearboxes, the software the Ai processors, its computer, it all actually applies to a humanoid robot”, Says Elon Musk at the Optimus Humanoid robot reveal yesterday. “It’s the same technique, it’s just a robot with arms and legs, instead of a robot with wheels”. according to Musk.
“We started with a robot suit and we have progressed dramatically year after year” said Musk, so if you extrapolate this, you’re really going to have something spectacular, He commented.
According to Elon Musk, the Optimus will be something that anyone could own, your own R2D2-C3Po.
Once developed at scale the Optimus is set to be available at a cost of around $20 000, less than the cost of a car, according to Musk.
The concept is that the robot should be a personal assistant that would be able to teach your kids or even babysit, do chores or maintenance and cleaning around the house. “it should be able to do whatever you want”, says Musk.
Optimus uses a hydraulic micro-actuator system inspired by human capillaries, enabling smoother and more precise movements in industrial tasks.
Robovan and Robo Taxi– Future of city Transport?
The futuristic Tesla Robovan can carry up to 20 people and can also be adapted to carry goods as a cargo van. The cost of transport according to Elon Musk will be as low as 5c US a mile compared to what now costs people and companies around $2 a mile.
The autonomous drive vehicle was developed specifically for transportation of groups of people and cargo deliveries within a city environment and could be rented as required rather than being owned.
The Robovan has a luxurious cabin like interior with spectacular seating and a very spacious design.
The RoboTaxi, is similarly a completely autonomous electric vehicle that will be a hail transport service where people can hire the vehicle for a single journey or even for a fixed period or overnight hire. The futuristic looking vehicles are all based on the Tesla electric vehicle tech platform but have a spectacular design that has got the whole world talking.
