BMW M records another year of growth
BMW M GmbH extended its run of record performance in 2025, securing a 14th consecutive best-ever sales year. The division sold 213,457 vehicles globally, up 3% from 206,582 units in 2024. The BMW M2 Coupé led as the top-selling high-performance M model, while the BMW X3 M50 finished the year as BMW’s best-selling performance vehicle overall.
The Automaker also benefited from strong momentum in newer models. The BMW M5 sedan and M5 Touring posted solid gains in their first full year on sale, and the BMW M3 family remained a consistent volume driver, contributing close to 71,500 deliveries during the year.
New additions and performance credentials support the lineup
BMW M added further depth to its range in 2025 with the launch of the BMW M3 CS Touring. The South Africa-bound BMW M2 CS also set a Nürburgring lap record, reinforcing the performance positioning of the compact M offering. Looking ahead, BMW M is expected to gain additional traction as Neue Klasse-based models begin to enter the lineup.
