Lamborghini has officially completed its new model over the weekend, showcasing the replacement of the Huracan with the brand new Temerario (“Reckless” in Italian), at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California.
The Italian supercar made its appearance at the Monterey Car Week in US on Friday showcasing its turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, becoming the second model in the Lamborghini High Performance Electrified Vehicles (HPEV) range after the Revuelto.
The Temerario features a twin-turbocharged 4.0l V8 plug-in hybrid within it, as well as three electric motors with a powerhouse that delivers 676 kW. It comes with a top speed of 340km/h, and the Temerario can move from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
One motor is placed between the engine and the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and the other two motors are located at the front axle which makes the Temerario an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The car includes features of a Drift mode, which directs the torque to the rear wheels with three power levels along with launch control function. The Drift Mode has five standard driving modes such as Citta, Strada, Sport, Corsa and Corsa Plus.
The battery of the Temerario has the capacity of 3.8 kWh and is able to charge with a traditional AC port with up to 7 kW of power, recharging it in just 30 minutes. It also includes a larger rear wing, unique bumper treatments, and carbon fibre rims with an of 158% and is an increase in the downforce of the Huracán Evo and a reduce in the weight compared to the standard Temerario. The optional Carbon Pack reduces the weight by an additional 4 pounds through carbon fibre elements on the rear diffuser, mirror caps, and side air intakes.
The Temerario comes with new lightweight frame which is made out of aluminium, which replaces the Huracán mixed aluminium and carbon-fibre build. The new frame material by 50%, decreasing the heat-welded joints by 80%, and increases torsional rigidity by 20%, while keeping the weight down.
The interior of the Temerario’s cockpit-style cabin has a design of hexagonal elements. It also comes with increased headroom and legroom which gives enough space for tall drivers. It has an 8.4-inch vertical touchscreen in the centre of the dash and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for drivers, and a 9.1-inch touchscreen for the passenger.
The Raging Bull is set to arrive in South Africa during the first quarter of 2026 with pricing to be announced.
