Megan Pydigadu, group finance director of technology services firm EOH, has left the company to join one of South Africa’s biggest retailers. According to a statement shared by the tech firm said that Pydigadu will remain with EOH until 31st October.
Before joining EOH in 2019 Pydigadu was chief financial officer of MiX Telematics, a JSE- and NYSE-listed company, a position she held for over six years.
According to the company, the board of directors has accepted the resignation and are looking for an appropriate replacement.
“The board would like to thank Megan for her dedication and commitment over the past few years and the critical role she has played in the restructuring of EOH and guiding it through an extremely challenging period in the company’s history,” says EOH.
“My decision to leave the EOH has not been an easy one; we have all as a team walked some very hard yards restructuring EOH over the past few years, culminating in the recent successful capital raise,” Pydigadu says.
“However, as the company transitions into a new growth phase, it is a good opportunity to bring fresh thinking and energy into the financial portfolio to see EOH through this next chapter. I look forward to my own new challenges, but I am fully committed to working alongside the team to facilitate a seamless transition in the finance function and group leadership.”
In a statement by Spar, it reveal that Pydigadu will be taking on the newly created role of COO for the retailer. She will be joining the company on 1st November, after finishing her term at EOH.
On the newly created COO role, Spar said the position will “strengthen the group’s executive team and provide support to the CEO on the co-ordination and oversight of the operational and functional activities of the group as well as retailer profitability”.
“Pydigadu brings her extensive restructuring, operational and change management experience to the new role and will add valuable bench strength to the Spar Group executive team,” the retailer said. “She is a respected business leader who is highly experienced in corporate restructuring, governance and delivering operating efficiencies.”
