The face-lifted Volkswagen Polo Vivo for 2024 has gotten a fresh look and upgraded features and is based on the fifth generation Polo that was introduced in 2009.
The updated hatchback has a new 2D corporate logo of Volkswagen’s and a stacked tailgate badging to go with the sibling cars. It also includes a revised bumper treatment, a front and rear, a new grille design with a chrome touch that mimics LED light strip on the modern Polo.
It also comes with a new design of headlamp units that come with daytime running lights as well as new 15-inch alloy wheel and is offered on Life models and a 16-inch on Style, with the GT’S 17-inch Mirabeau items finishing in Anthracite.
The inside of the updated Polo comes a 9-inch touchscreen multimedia system with a cord-activated smartphone mirroring, upgraded cloth seat material, and a multi-function steering wheel. The Style and GT models come with a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also comes with an audio system that has four to six speakers depending on the equipment line and is app-connected and front side airbag for safety.
The Polo Vivo comes with different engine options. In the base model comes a 1.4-litre engine in that produces 55kW and 63 kW in Life specification or with a 77 kW1.6-litre engine with a six-speed manual (Style) or a six-speed automatic transmission (Life). The GT has an 81 kW with 200 N.m turbocharged 1.0TSI engine and a six-speed manual gearbox, and a fuel consumption rate of 4.8-litre and 100 km.
The updated line-up includes five models: base Vivo, Life, Style, and the GT replacing the Trendline, Comfortline and Highline trims.
VW Group Africa has kept the prices of the Polo Vivo range have not been changed throughout this range update. The vehicle comes with a 4-year/60,000 km service plan which is R13,086.

The prices include a 3-year/120,00 km warranty, and the new Volkswagen Polo Vivo will be available in South Africa in September 2024.
