The latest Chinese brand is about to hit the motoring markets with the new GAC GS3 Emzoom.
This is a four-door hybrid of a crossover/hatchback with a design that is available in three models (Emzoom Comfort, Executive, and R-Style), the first of more products to be imported by GAC. The GS3 flying mecha front face design is both powerful and iconic.
The range features the identical 1.5-litre Turbo engine generating 130 kW of power and 270 N.m of torque. Power is sent through a seven-speed automatic transmission. GAC states that the model can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.0 seconds.
Each model also provides Eco, Comfort, and Sport drive modes, exemplified by a change in the instrument cluster theme.
The front design of the GAC GS3 Emzoom includes LED headlights with LED DRLs and highlights the model’s sides with a double waistline element, giving it a flying-mecha look. The rear wing complements the 3D-effect tail-light clusters that reportedly include 66 LEDs; 18-inch wheels are included as standard.
The GS3 is 4 410 mm long, 1 850 mm wide and stands 1 600 mm tall; it rides on McPherson front and a torsion-beam rear suspension, and GAC Motor crossover’s load bay can hold 341 litres and up to 1 271 litres when the rear seats are folded down.
The car comes with 21 storage space which is helped by the floating centre console design and connectivity options through its 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports both Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.
All models come with dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability programme, hill-hold control, an electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitors and ISOfix child-seat safety anchors.
The GAC GS3 Emzoom comes with five colours such as Asphalt black, Graphite Grey, Salt Lake Blue, Super Star Silver, and Ivory White
