The Mercedes Maybach EQS EV 680 is set apart from the regular EQS SUV, as it comes with a different Maybach design, features, and technology enhancements.
The Maybach combines the renowned craftsmanship of the Maybach brand with electric powertrain technology, this flagship model sets new standards for comfort, performance, and sustainability. The Maybach EQS SUV exterior has a smooth design with a chrome touch on the outside and a plethora of Maybach logos around similarly to Mercedes-Maybach GLS.
It also comes with a sealed-off black panel at the front that mimics a grille. This large panel has radar sensors for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), and it also gets vertical chrome. The upper part of the faux grille, like other Maybach models, has Maybach lettering in chrome. It is based on the standard EQS and gets specific details and features.
The SUV also gets a chrome on the window line and a B-pillar as well as a Maybach logo on the D-pillar. It comes with a wheel and tyre choice which includes 21/22-inch alloy and the wheels with a Maybach lettering.
The interior of the Maybach gets three different screens that come with Maybach specific graphics. The features on the screen include an animated display of the instrument cluster. The rear seats get an 11.6-inch display at the back of the front seats. The SUV comes with a MBUX tablet at the rear that can also be used outside. The seats are in Nappa leather and come with reclining and massage function.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV will offer two electric powertrain choices. It comes equipped with the 4Matic AWD technology as standard, delivering a total output of up to 658hp and 950Nm. The 680 can travel up to 600km (WLTP) on one charge, accelerating from 0-100kph in a claimed 4.4 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 210kph. Abroad, the Maybach EQS is also available in 580 4Matic variant, featuring 544hp power and a maximum range of 456km.
The electric SUV will be launched in India on the 5th of September 2024.
