The new Toyota GR (Gazoo Racing) Corolla showcases a fusion of sporty design with advancement to the vehicle that sets it apart from its sibling cars.
The model comes with a new eight speed direct automatic transmission, which joins the six-speed manual as a second transmission choice with smarter automated systems installed in the GR Supra and GR86. The GR Corolla relies on the driver inputs like brakes and accelerator to add a heightened sense to the process.
The 1.6-liter 3-cylinder engine G16E-GTS with 300 horsepower now has an increase in the torque to 295-pound feet. With both front and rear limited slip differences are included as a standard feature while the automatic transmission vehicles now come with launch control. The changes have been made to the front end to improve airflow, while modifications to the suspension reduce squat and improve traction.
All the models are equipped with a new transmission cooler, where the cooling power comes from the new front bumper with a larger opening to cool the brakes and space for the radiator to cool the engine. This new sub-radiator is standard on the new Premium Plus trim for 2025.
2025 is going to be a good year for Toyota because the Toyota GR Corolla is set to be a game changer in the motoring industry.
