Originating from China, the Dayun Yuehu will undergo a rebranding as the Dayun S5 Mini SUV upon its anticipated launch in South Africa by the end of 2024. This compact SUV, designed to accommodate four passengers, will feature a 31.7kWh ternary lithium battery, offering an impressive range of 330km and reaching a top speed of 100km/h, making it an ideal choice for urban commuting.

Enviro Automotive, renowned for its range of last-mile delivery vehicles, plans to launch the Dayun S5 with a three-year or 60,000km service plan and warranty. Priced below R400,000, the Dayun S5 aims to become South Africa’s most affordable EV, significantly undercutting the current market leader, the GWM Ora, priced at R687,000.
