Black Friday Revenue and Volume Tracker Day-3 Update
Day-4 of the Black Friday week, Gave the week its biggest single day of value yet, with a total of just over R900 million processed via the Eccentric payment channels.
Thursdays (28 Nov) total, was up by 6% on that of Wednesday which had also seen an 11% on Tuesday’s total value.
Black Friday Sales Exploding Today
The early indicators for today’s (29 Nov) numbers are encouraging for retailers with total value of transactions hitting over R1 trillion just after 14H30 this afternoon and the largest single transaction doubling in value from yesterday.
There will be further updates over the weekend until next week Tuesday.
More Volume and Hourly Rate up
The Ecentric Black Friday Dashboard also indicated that the largest single transaction processed yesterday was R200 000 while the average transaction value remained stuck in the R450 range at R451.
Total Transaction Volumes up
Total transaction volume for the 28th November was just over two million transactions processed compared to around 1,87 on Wednesday (27th Nov
The average transactions per hour processed grew slightly to 1392 transaction per minute processed over the day with the most transactions in a single second coming in at 113 transactions
