Westcon, a regional VAD, has announced that it recently won the “Distributor of the Year Award” from its vendor partner Avaya Inc.
Westcon won the Distributor of the Year award across Avaya’s India, China, Russia, Middle East and Africa markets.
The award, which was presented at the Avaya Customers and Partners Connect 2015 conference, represents Westcon’s success in delivering outstanding communications consultancy and services to the technology channel across the region in 2014. In addition, the distributor was recognised for driving the market to adopt innovative customer and team engagement capabilities that underpin the growth of many small, medium and large businesses in the Middle East.

Khan added that as partners play an essential role in Westcon’s go-to-market strategy, the expanded relationship represents a key piece of the company’s growth strategy and its remarkable achievement with Avaya. “Our success lies in our ability to engage in business discussions, identify end to end communication solutions, illustrate ROI models customised to each unique customer situation, measure business outcomes and continue the engagement cycle,” he said. “We cherish our long-standing relationship with Avaya and shall continue to stay invested with them to serve our customers better.”
