The Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings has revealed that it has plans in place that it will be soon unveiling an artificial intelligence chatbot.
Taking to social media, the company posted a demo conversation a user had with the AI chatbot, which helped the user write promotional materials.
This is taking place not long after China started to approve AI chatbots for public release last month. Other big tech companies in China including Baidu and SenseTime Group released their AI chatbots last week.
Last month, Tencent also mentioned that it was expanding the test of the AI model that it had been developing for months, named “Hunyuan”, internally.
Reuters reported in February that the company formed a team to develop a ChatGPT-like chatbot named HunyuanAide at the time.
